Lwarcel seeks to ensure the environmental sustainability of its forestry enterprises through proper handling of environmental matters related to production activities developed in its managed areas. Our forestry operations are planned and executed with consideration for the necessity of protecting biodiversity, natural resources, and flora and fauna.
Planting in checkerboard patterns, demarcation of reserve areas, protection of the soil, controlled and optimized use of herbicides and pesticides, and vigilance in construction and maintenance of roads are examples of this pollcy in practice. Within this same line of conduct, Lwarcel operates programs for collection and disposition of packaging and waste and for management of hazardous wastes. The company also includes instructions on environmental precautions in all work rules and directives as a part of our Quality System, and monitors compliance.
