EFFLUENT TREATMENT STATION

The Effluent Treatment Station is made up of a system of waterproofed lagoons that make up a park of four aerated lagoons and a fifth polishing lagoon with tubular membrane diffusers and submerged aerators.

The effluents are treated through a biological process that utilizes microorganisms to degrade the pollutants.

The tubular membrane diffusers and submerged aerators are responsible for providing air for oxygenation and agitation of the liquid mass by means of microbubbles. Diffusers placed on the lagoon beds are supplied by high flow compressors. Aerators that are suspended on the water surface through floating buoys capture oxygen from the atmospheric air. Oxygen injected into the lagoons guarantees the survival of microorganisms in the liquid and degrades the pollutants.

This efficient system eliminates organic pollutants present in the plant’s residual water, making it so that a portion of the water can be reused in the process and the rest can be disposed of in accordance with environmental standards.
