Research and DevelopmentLwart Lubrificantes monitors its processes in order to improve them. To control intake of the used oil, the company establishes parameters for sampling all lots received. In our quality control laboratories, tests are performed to assess the following properties: suitability of the oil, concentration of water and light organic compounds, density, and saponification.
To assure compliance with pre-established technical standards, testing is performed throughout the entire production process, guaranteeing the quality of the final product, the re-refined lubricant base. Analyses are made of the following: viscosity, flash point, acidity, color, corrosion on copper strips, density, and sulfur content.
Excluded from re-refining are water-soluble and asphalt-based oils.
Some fractions of the oil’s mineral base remain unaltered by re-refining, while additives added during blending, which degrade in proportion to their useful life, are totally extracted.
QUALITY CONTROL
Lwart Lubrificantes operates a quality control laboratory equipped with modern equipment and staffed by analysts qualified to apply specifications in accordance with national and international technical standards.
Tests are performed in this laboratory for control and monitoring of production, from the arrival of the raw materials through the final product, thereby guaranteeing the traceability of all production lots.
